Oral surgery for wisdom teeth and jaw fractures

Wisdom teeth usually begin to come in between the ages of 17 and 21. Dentists call these teeth third molars. They may become impacted because there's not enough room in your mouth for them. A wisdom tooth also might be trying to come in sideways. Or, it might be tilted in your jaw. An impacted tooth can be painless. You may not even realize it's there. However, when an impacted wisdom tooth tries to come in, the flap of gum on top of it can swell. This can hurt. You might feel pain in nearby teeth, or in the ear on that side of your face. Plus, food particles can get stuck near the gum flap. This can lead to an infection called pericoronitis. If untreated, this infection can spread to the throat or into the neck. Impacted teeth can get cavities. An impacted tooth can push on the neighboring molar. This can lead to tooth movement, decay or gum disease. It also can change the way your teeth come together.

Dentures (All types including flexible)

Dentures replace missing teeth with artificial teeth embedded in an acrylic, gum-like denture base which fits over the upper or lower jaw bone. They can be worn with comfort, have a realistic appearance and can help to preserve the patient's health. Dentures can be used if a patient has lost all, most, or even just a few natural teeth, and can be used on one or both arches (top and/or bottom jaw). In general, a denture rests directly on the gum and is held in place by a combination of suction, the facial muscles and the tongue. Dentures which replace only a few teeth may have clasps. There are two main categories of dentures. Full or complete dentures replace all the teeth in either the upper or lower jaw while partial dentures replace some of the teeth. Implant-supported dentures can also be made. A denture requires multiple visits. Patients need time to adjust to their new dentures. They may feel bulky, loose and awkward at first. Patients may experience soreness, discomfort or excessive production of saliva until they become accustomed to the dentures. They may also need to make some changes in their eating habits. Natural changes in the mouth and jaw occur with age and dentures need adjustments over time, or may even need to be replaced. Dentures require special care. Different types of dentures may require different types of specific care. A dentist will explain how to care for a given denture, including when to wear and remove it and how to clean it.

Permanent fixed teeth (Crown and Bridge)

A crown is a tooth-shaped cover placed over a tooth that is badly damaged or decayed. A crown is made to look like your tooth. Many people call it a cap. Crowns may be placed for several reasons. Usually the tooth has been broken or damaged a great deal by decay. As a result, a filling can't replace enough of the tooth or make the tooth strong enough. A crown may hold together parts of a cracked tooth. It also can be used to hold a bridge in place. Crowns can be used to improve appearance as well. They may be placed to cover misshapen or badly discolored teeth. BRIDGE IMPLANTS BRIDGE IMPLANTS

Crowns can be metal or ceramic. Metals include gold alloy, other alloys (palladium) or a base-metal alloy (nickel or chromium). Ceramic crowns are the same color as your natural teeth. They look just like normal teeth. Crowns usually last for several years.

Bleaching and Whitening of teeth

Teeth whitening or bleaching is one of the most popular and economical ways to enhance your smile and your appearance. Aging, medications, tea and coffee drinking and smoking are some common causes of discolored and stained teeth. Professional bleaching can lighten your teeth 2- 5 shades in a few visits. The number of visits required depend on the initial color of teeth and the type of discoloration. Tooth whitening works by using different concentrations of carbamide or hydrogen peroxide in a gel form.

Whitening can be done in the dental office or at home. Whitening in the office may involve two to six visits. Each one is likely to be about 45 minutes long. For whitening at home, your dentist can make trays to hold the whitening gel that fit your teeth precisely. Home whitening usually takes two to three weeks. Whitening is not a one-time solution. It will need to be repeated from time to time if you want to maintain the brighter color. If you do not smoke or take staining foods and drinks, whitening may last for 6-12 months.

Cosmetic Dentistry

All categories of dental implants surgical procedures are undertaken in this clinic. Dental implants used at this clinic are sourced from the best companies of the world.

Most of the dental implants surgical procedures are carried out under local anaesthesia and medication by highly trained and experienced implantologists where a single implant procedure may take about 15 minutes. These surgical procedures are carried out under strict asepsis conditions and are relatively painless. Immediate loading implants are those where the crown or cap is placed on the tooth implant immediately after its surgical placement in jaw bone in a single sitting. In most of the implant surgical cases, the crown, bridge or denture is fabricated and placed approximately 3 to 6 months from the date of the implant insertion. The cost of the implant surgical procedures are relatively inexpensive compared to the quality of the implants used and the skill of the implantologists by international standards. The success of the various implant surgeries undertaken in this clinic are guaranteed.
